Win basically became a friend through his own kindness and generosity. We knew each other professionally but Win invited me down to the Hull Philosophical Society on a number of occasions as his guest. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with Win and Marina, all due to their willingness to spend time with me. Win fully immersed himself in local life and society in Hull and encouraged others to do the same, and with his charisma and friendship how could anyone refuse! I didnt see you that often Win but I already miss you
